Establishment of Bauval, a leading figure in Quebec

BauVal, a company specializing in civil engineering, emerges on the south shore of Montreal. Over time, the company diversifies while remaining family-owned, generating 400 direct jobs across 6 quarries and 7 plants, with an annual revenue of 120 million dollars. Learn more…

2014

Establishment of MIQ by Bauval (50%) and the CB Group (50%)

Pooling their respective expertise, the two companies take on the endeavor of establishing a presence in the Quebec market as industrial mineral operators, with a particular emphasis on dolomite, high-purity limestone, and silica.

2019

Initiation of production at MIQ's inaugural mining site

After the acquisition of a high-purity silica deposit in the Matane area (>98% SiO2), MIQ establishes itself to play a role in supplying the McInnis Cement plant located in Port-Daniel.
